Manning Wedding

Manning is a city in Clarendon County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 4,025 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Clarendon CountyGR6.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.2 km (2.4 mi), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 4,025 people, 1,550 households, and 1,063 families residing in the city. The population density was 644.8/km (1,671.1/mi). There were 1,727 housing units at an average density of 276.7/km (717.0/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 35.80% White, 62.36% African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.62% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.04% of the population.

There were 1,550 households out of which 31.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.3% were married couples living together, 29.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.4% were non-families. 29.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.10.
